Trump’s top aides are immune from prosecution?

In fact, the people of ancient Greece recognized the obvious: those who crave power the most merit it the least.
But what to make of people like Bernie Sanders? A long career in government in which money meant absolutely nothing. He became a millionaire a few years ago when he made some royalties money from one of his books.

Tucker Carlson is the Fox “News” anchor with the highest ratings of all these pigs, and thus brings in the most ad revenue. As the nurse points out here, he’s busily imploring his viewers not to get vaccinated.
They make him and his company rich, they trust him, and he sends them to die, drowning in their own mucus.

Yet even Trump must know that acts like this come at a cost, i.e., being reviled by virtually every man and woman in uniform, and all who stand behind them.

His legacy is one of honor, humanitarianism, and commitment to true democracy.

And there is no better example than the laws that concern voting. Most Republicans still believe, without any evidence, that the 2020 election was stolen from Trump, largely because that’s what the former president continues to claim, i.e., that massive voter fraud brought him down.
This is the basis for their demand that we implement a national voter ID card.
The hypothetical discussion above shows how spurious this argument is.

Then along comes this. The day before the insurrection, Steve Bannon made a podcast in which he predicted exactly what was about to happen on January 6th. As you watch the video below, the only conclusion that can be drawn is that we’re getting very close to criminal indictments for the top tier of the Trump administration.

In response to my post of banning single-use plastics in our national parks, Alma Shaw asks: But what are the alternatives? I can foresee visitors bringing plastics they purchased elsewhere. The plastic industry needs to be held accountable at the source.
You make a good point about the plastic industry, though, thankfully, we tend not to put whole industry segments out of business just because they inflict harm on society. The tobacco industry is an excellent example. (more…)
