Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley writes:

Dear Fellow American, The Biden administration makes America look incompetent and ridiculous. Because of Biden’s failed leadership, we are becoming a laughingstock on the global stage. (more…)

A photo from the 1940s.  Holy cats.  This doesn’t show a marvelous command of Newton’s Laws of Motion, does it?  300 years later, some of us seem to have a tough time predicting what will happen to that baby in the case of a sudden stop.

From Britannica, on Newton’s first law, the law of inertia: (more…)

News flash: Norway actually values education.

Here in the United States, it’s largely viewed as a ripoff, or, more commonly,  as a process by which liberals/socialists are manufactured in bulk.

In this video, billionaire Jim Mellon makes some old predictions re: the rapid phasing out of animals as food in favor of plant-based dairy and meat.

He says, “We have the products.  Now all we need is the scale, the money and the will.”

Well, those items aren’t exactly trivial, are they?

In particular, the will.  Western civilization loves beef, and is loath to give that up.

FWIW, I see a long, slow process that is impeded by the meat industry, not unlike what the oil companies are doing to climate change mitigation.

Those looking for examples of how stupidly combative the U.S. Congress has become can check out the remark at the left by Republican U.S. Representative Andy Biggs.

I’m old enough to remember when stopping drugs from entering the United States was deemed to be a praiseworthy event.

It seems that this anti-vax crap is starting to evaporate.

The Governor of Alabama is now saying that it’s “time to start blaming the unvaccinated.”  That’s Alabama, not Oregon.

Fox News’ Sean Hannity is now recommending the vaccination as well.

Americans lament that the good ol’ days of bipartisanship in Congress are a thing of the past.

As exemplified by the process by which the members of the committee to investigate the January 6th insurrection are selected, “ain’t that the damn truth.”

Let’s be honest and banish the word “bipartisan” from our political discourse.

Hemp is one of the fastest growing plants on Earth, a fact that virtually explodes into life in the photo here.

It can be refined into a variety of items, including paper, rope, textiles, clothing, biodegradable plastics, paint, insulation, biofuel, food, and animal feed.

It’s hard to count all the ways in which the environment can be improved by making our commercial and industrial products with hemp, rather than trees, petroleum, etc.

This is what a city in China looks like after receiving eight months of rain in five days, viewed through a few hundred feet of air pollution.

A catastrophe, to be sure.  The real problem, however, is that disasters like this are occurring with ever-increasing frequency.  This is another once in 1000 years event–the third within a month.
