We see a great number of “studies” that purport to show that COVID-19 is far more benign than we’re told, in an apparent attempt to prove that the government is lying to us about the actual stats related to the disease for some nefarious reason.

This is getting a HUGE amount of coverage, and corroboration of the original story is now coming forth.
There are 18.2 million veterans, every one of voting age. Aren’t they infuriated?
This is so like Trump, i.e., another proof point that he’s incapable of understanding why anyone would make a sacrifice for a greater cause.
We all need to hope that this despicable person doesn’t get another four years to ruin this country even further.
Here we have a police officer kicking a handcuffed girl in her face. On a good day, that’s some sort of assault and/or battery; the terms vary according to jurisdiction; both can mean the intentional and offensive or harmful contact with another person.
It’s interesting to note that words by themselves can’t be considered assault; this is probably important in this case, as one has to think that the woman said something offensive to the cop which resulted in that kick in the teeth. (more…)
The black man shown here was running naked through the streets in the freezing winter of upstate New York. When his brother called 911 and asked for help, a team of policemen showed up, knocked him to the ground, handcuffed him, and put a hood over his head. One of the officers proceeded to step on his neck, using his boot to press it against the frozen pavement for two minutes, suffocating him into unconsciousness. He was eventually taken to a hospital, where he died seven days later when he was taken off life support. (more…)

This strategy of inciting violence is going to backfire.
As you are aware, Americans are stupid, but we’re not that stupid.
Anyone with an IQ of 80 can see what you’re doing, and loathe you accordingly.
As shown here, we all come into this world with an enormous capacity for love and kindness.
It’s hard to imagine that some people lose this altogether and fall prey to willful ignorance, racial hatred, and a cold indifference to the suffering of others.
Let us never forget that our roots go back to the disposition of these lovely babies with their angelic smiles.
Here’s one of these gratuitous posts that is driven only by the fact that I just happened to run across this painting by Italian artist Maurizo Rega. His impressionistic style really speaks to me, and he cranks these babies out at an amazing clip, especially considering how much detail goes into each one.

While I am a huge supporter of ocean wave and tidal energy, I adamantly oppose messing with ocean currents. Water follows the path of least resistance, so it’s very easy to disrupt current patterns that have countless species relying on the stable weather patterns they produce. If Florida taps the ocean current and the warm waters don’t make it to the northern Atlantic coast anymore, then what?
Well, how much of the total ocean current do you think we’re trying to slow down? It’s infinitesimal.
There is a senator who is against wind energy because he’s worried about what slowing down the wind will do to the planet. Same deal.
Having said all this, there is no chance whatsoever that ocean current can compete on price against solar and wind; that’s an even better reason not to worry.
