The Amazon Rainforest’s Future: Does It Have One?

Intelligence may have something to do with it, but more obvious, to me at least, is the incomprehensible greed and selfishness of the world’s most powerful people, and their astonishing lack of compassion and concern for others.
Most of the world’s population actually does care about the future of humankind, but sadly, we’re not the ones who are making the strategic decisions concerning our industrial policies. Our choices that drive the way we provide our planet’s energy, transportation, and agriculture are made by people to whom their immediate wealth and power mean far more than the well-being of a planet that is rapidly becoming a wasteland.

Putin may not be any more criminally insane than the others, but there is an important difference: he is sitting on 6000 nuclear warheads.
Whether or not this is actually going to happen is anybody’s guess. One would think that any self-respecting bar association would want to remove anyone who actively participated in overturning an honest election.
Over 90% of Americans support common sense gun laws that our Congress refuses even to discuss. In particular, the vast majority of us wish the spectacle on the right here were not part of our culture.
Apparently, the mechanics of removing a Postmaster General once installed are not straightforward.
