Love the meme here.  Now that’s funny.

The serious question, though, is this: What happens to all this violence and stupidity when it’s no longer fomented by the President of the United States?

One hopes that an entirely new zeitgeist comes to America once Trump leaves office.  Overt racism shown in a social setting, once again, results in ostracism.  Our country ceases to celebrate morons.  The United States rejoins the rest of the developed world and is no longer the laughingstock of the planet.

At the risk of coming off as pedantic, though it’s true that Trump has “gutted” us, it hasn’t been for nothing.

Since President Donald Trump was inaugurated in 2017, America’s billionaires have become 10.6% richer.  It is the support of this incalculably large sum of money that has made Trump so powerful that the Republican-led senate does whatever he asks.  Without this support, he would have been removed from office long ago, and leveled with an amazing array of criminal indictments.  (See below.) I offer the meme here as evidence backing my theory that Trump supporters are slowly being driven out of existence by their own actions.

In some cases, that means being thrown in jail for assault or murder of protestors.

In others, it’s immobility due simply to missing payments on their pick-up trucks.

This guy just may be the first billionaire preacher, and that’s because we live around people so stupid that, it seems, anything is possible.  Garbage like this used to be the fodder of jokes.  Now it’s as serious as a cancer diagnosis.

I take responsibility for the fact that I have been too complacent and slow to react to the sudden falling apart of my nation. From historian Howard Zinn: (more…)

How stupid does one have to be to believe this?

Do the four exclamation points at the end add credibility?

The GOP has had more than a decade to come up with something, and some fools think it’s going to happen now??

It’s just so upsetting and embarrassing to think that those in my community are this goddamn dumb.

Agrophotovoltaic projects are appearing around the world where solar panels and farming go hand in hand. A more common one is where sheep graze within a solar farm to be living grass clippers that are provided with much needed shade. However in Germany, Next2Sun has developed bifacial solar panels with one side facing east and the other west.  (more…)

LONDON — Prince William on Thursday announced the establishment of an environmental prize worth 50 million pounds, or $65 million, that will reward climate change solutions over the next 10 years, saying it was an effort to “turn the current pessimism surrounding environmental issues into optimism.” (more…)

Does anyone believe for a second that climate activist Greta Thunberg would prefer Joe Biden as U.S. president over some Green Party candidate?  Of course not.

She’s “ridin’ with Biden” for the same reason we all are, i.e., we have a sociopath in the White House who needs to be removed.

For the first time in 1600 years, the Catholic Church is led by a pontiff with abiding and deep-seated humanistic views.  Now, the Pope calls for divestment from companies not committed to environmental stewardship.  Truly great stuff.

FWIW, this is not hard to do, even if you’re in mutual funds and ETFs that have diverse portfolios.  One way to do this is simply to follow the investment advice of Tom Konrad, PhD, at AltEnergyStocks.com.  He’s a magician.  The other is to pick a mutual fund that doesn’t invest in things of which you disapprove.  Personally, if it hurts people or comes out of the ground, I don’t want to own it.
