I can’t imagine how embarrassed I’d be if I found myself in this position. Think what it would be like to look into Americans’ faces, and tell them the same baseless story, time after time, over a five-year period, on a subject that is extremely important to them. This isn’t about affordable Halloween candy; this is about healthcare.
Why isn’t this met with pure revulsion?
How dare he?
What kind of a human being punishes 40 million people because they live in a state that didn’t vote for him?
I’d like to believe that part of the reason he’s going to lose is that he is at heart a petty, vindictive sociopath, and the American people won’t put up with this mean-spiritedness any longer.
Here we see the mainstay of the Democrat’s strategy to win the presidency: this one, concise idea: Let Trump Speak.
Sadly, there are very few remaining undecided votes; Trump is trailing by 11.2% (54.1% to 42.9%), leaving only 3% undecided.
My business deals in expediting the phase-out of fossil fuels in favor of renewable energy, electric transportation, and energy efficiency solutions. Moreover, I believe there are both financial and moral reasons for wanting this transition to happen.
Financially, we see that oil, coal and natural gas are going away, just like silver mining left Colorado 125 years ago, and DVD/game/video rental left us in the last decade; it’s an industry with an expiration date, and that’s becoming increasingly clear. It’s why ExxonMobil is traded today at 32.7% of what it was just a few years ago. That’s a lot of evaporated capital, and it’s a signal this sector has no future. (more…)
As suggested here, it’s awkward when a child of a household-name Republican openly and aggressively urges voters to cast their ballots for the Democrats. It’s also as if that close proximity and all those years of acquaintance have resulted in some perception of Dad’s character that might be, shall we say, unsavory?

I don’t impute any moral goodness to Sasse for what he said here, because it’s no more than politically expedient. As someone said in response, “If you want to show that you’re not a hypocrite, vote against the confirmation of the religious fanatic Trump nominated to the Supreme Court.
There is, however, something to note about this: Trump’s support in the U.S. Senate is foundering, as anyone could have predicted it would at election time with Trump 11% down in the national polls.
Another one of those “would be funny if it weren’t so tragic” posts.
This is how stupid Putin thinks the average American is, and maybe he’s right.
First, how obvious is it that this is an effort to help Trump, as Americans hate communism?
Secondly, Russia hasn’t been a communist country since 1991.
It’s all so pathetic.
Speaking strictly for myself, I won’t be tuning in because I can’t stand the sound of his voice, and my wife goes into seizures whenever she hears him speak. We also abhor watching the hateful idiots in his audiences.
All this reminds me of the vast, and in some cases irreparable, damage he’s done to this formerly great nation.
