Germany’s Merkel: Economic Stimulus Program Should Consider Climate Protection

Imagine living in a country whose law-making process isn’t completely controlled by moneyed interests. What would it be like if our legislative bodies here in the United States functioned so as to protect our people’s health and safety, educate our children, safeguard our environment, and stay out of useless wars?
I write the content of at least 99% of my posts here before I even think about a photo. This one of a few that is all about the picture. In fact, I can’t think of a single thing that would confer the least bit of value or meaning.

We should begin by noting that it is illegal to carry umbrellas into most state capitol buildings, since they can be used as weapons. For some reason, this concern does not apply to AR-15s. 
There is so much about America today that is utterly incomprehensible. Today in Lansing, Michigan, people with assault rifles entered the state capitol building and had altercations like the one depicted here. Now, I’m a peace-loving fellow, and thus it’s hard for me to recommend violence or engage in it myself, but if I were young and strong and getting this moron’s spit shot into my face, I’m fairly certain I would have beaten him, at least to the point that he no longer posed a threat to my health and safety. 
“Misinformation” was provided as the reason that “Planet of the Humans” was pulled from distribution. How about “100 minutes of solid, deliberate misleading bull****, calculated to embarrass and attack proponents of renewable energy and other environmentalists.
The United States has 4.29% of the world’s population, but more that 25% of its COVID-19 deaths. Our death rate is higher as well (61,700 dead out of 188,700 resolved cases = 32.7% in U.S., vs. 228,000 dead out of 1,214,000 resolved cases = 18.8% worldwide).
