Trump Supporters Are Happy People Just Now

One of every five children separated is under five
I just had a sad realization, but one I wanted to share nonetheless.
I got a Christmas card from an old college buddy who wrote, among the usual seasonal messaging, “Everyone here had a very good year.” I turned immediately to my wife, and said, “OMG, he’s a Trump supporter. Those are the only Americans who could possibly say they had very good years. Everyone else feels at least some level of sorrow for those who are suffering, and will continue to do so many years after Trump’s gone, as a result of his cruel policies, too numerous to name. And it doesn’t stop with sorrow; we feel a deep anger towards the perpetrator and his enablers.
If you had a “very good year” when 5400 children are locked up, separated from their parents, and the environment is being torn apart, I don’t know what to tell you.

It’s a shame when an organization that does so much good in the world says something so totally unfair. Greenpeace says Bloomberg’s environmental plans “have holes in them,” but report that he’s coming out soon with revisions to address those holes. So they give him a D+?
A reader explains his viewpoint on climate change:
A reader asserts: Governments love peddling this gimmick.
I thought this was good, and I hope readers enjoy it.
Re: the meme here, former Labor Secretary Robert Reich notes:
Turning this around will require the complete cooperation of every major government on the planet, as supported by the vast majority of Earth’s people. Think for a moment about the scope of that task.
In response to the meme at left, a reader comments, “It shouldn’t be the government regulating what we buy.”
A surprise to no one, the Trump White House has successfully
Many of us know people who wish someone would kill Trump. I hear this constantly from people, ranging from fairly sophisticated folks from my college days and 2GreenEnergy colleagues to total morons.
