37729371_2127445880828134_1670554613842968576_nThe headline here reminds us that Nixon’s political career was going very well…until it wasn’t.

Similarly, Trump’s approval numbers are holding steady, even though the majority of Americans believe he’s being somehow compromised by Russia, and is therefore committing an ongoing string of treasonous acts.

Manafort’s in prison, and may die there if he doesn’t flip.  Flynn, Papadoupolos and Gates have all plead guilty in exchange for cooperation.  Cohen is playing ball, and he’s bringing his tapes with him.

I’m predicting….exactly nothing.  As my mother correctly points out, “Craig, you’ve been saying that for a year and a half!” When the old girl’s right, she’s right.

This sure is exciting, though, isn’t it?  If there weren’t so much damage being done to our formerly great country and to our planet with the passing of every single day, this would be the most entertaining spectacle imaginable.

20170714_kccc_cut-ties-with-bp_big-screen-event-15Here’s a great piece of animation on climate change for people whose learning styles favor graphics. Scientific American has done a great job with this subject for many years.

As you watch, keep in mind that the U.S. is vigorously promoting coal as its go-to energy source.

WSJ1Echoing the theme of my most recent book (Bullish on Renewable Energy), the Wall Street Journal concludes that the forces of free market capitalism is in the process of saving the day, vis-a-vis climate change.  Of course, this is hardly a surprise since, for the right-leaning WSJ, capitalism is the cure for everything. IMMIGRANT-CHILD-DEPORTED-1Most people’s reaction to the passionate and brilliantly written resignation letter below is one of congratulations.  But is that correct?

What happens when the few remaining good people in the Trump administration resign?  They’re replaced with bad people.  Perhaps the best response to the criminal antics of our president is perseverance. (more…)

NEW YORK, NY - FEBRUARY 22: Activists rally outside of State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman's office to support the New York state investigation into whether the oil giant Exxon covered up its knowledge about climate change on February 22, 2017 in New York City. Over a dozen activists representing hundreds of environmental, civic and college student organizations used a blow-up oil barrel to emphasize the importance of the ongoing investigation which is headed by the Attorney General. Questions:  How much has the fossil fuel industry spent to avoid dealing with climate change since the year 2000?  What is the ratio of what they’ve spent on lobbyists vs. all environmental groups combined?  (more…)
